چکیده

The paper develops an analytic integrated assessment model of climate change (AIAM). The model enhances our current understanding of climate policy and explains crucial relations to the broader audience. Is the first quantitative analytic model comprising all the relevant components of its numeric deterministic counterparts used in policy advising. The model comes with a new framework to address climate change uncertainties. The analytic solution overcomes Bellman’s curse of dimensionality for a wide range of stochastic processes. I show the different welfare implications of “objective” uncertainty, epistemological uncertainty, and anticipated learning and discuss policy and modeling implications. Uncertainty Investigation of Precipitation and Temperature Scenarios for the Sira Basin under Climate Change Impact

Results of assessment of the future climate change impacts is associated with some uncertainties. Considering the range of uncertainties increases reliability of the results. In this study, climate change impacts on daily precipitation, maximum and minimum temperature of Sira basin are assessed using LARS-WG model, for 2036-65 period. Accordingly, uncertainty of new emissions scenarios (RCP2.6،...

Analytic Integrated Assessment and Uncertainty

I develop an analytic integrated assessment model of climate change. The paper closes a gap between complex numeric models used in policy advising and stylized models built for analytic insight. The climate component contains an explicit carbon cycle, the CO2 radiative forcing equation, and a atmosphere-ocean temperature dynamics. Economic production relies on various clean and dirty, and poten...

A Review of the Effects of Climate Change with an Emphasis on Burden of Waterborne Diseases

Background and Purpose: Climate change has major impact on water cycle, resulting in effects on water resources, the frequency and severity of droughts, floods due to severe rainfall, natural environments, society, and economics and human health.  In this paper, surveys on different models of climate change as well as the effects of climate change on the burden of waterborne diseases and also, ...

Optimal CO2 mitigation under damage risk valuation

The current generation has to set mitigation policy under uncertainty about the economic consequences of climate change. This uncertainty governs both the level of damages for a given level of warming, and the steepness of the increase in damage per warming degree. Our model of climate and the economy is a stochastic version of a model employed in assessing the US Social Cost of Carbon (DICE). ...

Modeling the effects of climate change on the distribution of Acanthalburnus urmianus (Günther, 1899) in Urmia lake basin rivers

According to the reports of the International Panel Climate Change (IPCC) there is no doubt about climate change occurring. All ecosystems on the earth have being concerned by the effects of climate change. Urmia lake basin and its rivers exposed to numerous anthropogenic stressors such as hydrological, morphological, connectivity and water quality pressures. The main objective of this study is...
